The State Affairs Committee considered SENATE BILL NO. 222 "An                                                                  
Act making a special appropriation to the Department of Military and                                                            
Veterans' Affairs to hire a consulting firm to develop strategies for                                                           
retention of military installations affected by the next base realignment                                                       
and closure announcement; and providing for an effective date."
